A classic gag delivered with poise and perfect timing. You can almost hear the groom’s pride swelling as his best man reels off a list of the fine qualities that anyone would need to be suitable partner material for the bride. Then, just as the audience reach peak ‘awwww’, he pulls the rug out from under his pal’s feet. This is very well-trodden territory, but there’s a lot to be said for including the odd joke that everyone can see coming. Especially when the gag comes from a place of real affection, as this clearly does. Top marks for delivering an old favourite and making it sound as fresh as ever.
