Work colleague

Paul and Kelly, I thank you for allowing me to play a special part in what is surely the most important day of your lives. Paul, you could have chosen any one of your employees as your best man, and yet, you selected me. And I know the competition was fierce with us being only a two person company.

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Jason and unlike many of the best men you’ve probably encountered over the years – who were either old school friends or childhood friends of the groom – Paul and I actually met about six years ago when we were working for the same company. In fact, it’s rather amazing that we have become such good friends, given the relatively few occasions back then that he actually bothered to turn up to work at all.
