Setting up the tribute (Straight-up)

After Paul bestowed upon me the high honor of being best man, I thought to myself: How can I possibly repay him for this? How can I also let him know just how cherished he is to me after all these years? How can I put into words the vivid memories, the shared highs and lows, the endless stories that make up a truly incredible friendship, that forge the unbreakable bond we have developed? Well here goes...

Like many extraordinarily talented, capable, self-sacrificing, and thoroughly committed people, Paul is the only one around who is not fully aware of just how terrific he is. I hope this tribute convinces him.
