Meeting the in-laws

Shortly after being introduced, Linda’s father asked Paul if his intentions towards his daughter were honourable or dishonourable? Paul was taken aback by this, as he didn’t realise there was a choice.

From what I’ve heard Linda’s father seemed quite pleased when Paul asked if he could marry his daughter. He didn’t say yes right away though. He asked Paul to leave his name and phone number and said he'd give him a call if nothing better turned up.
