The challenge ahead

There will be times in your married life when you will look back on today, and just sit for hours, looking longingly at your marriage license. I can assure you, I have done that very same thing. And I can also assure you that there are no loopholes.

As we give them a proper send-off tonight, each one of us stands witness to history. Yes, the greatest party animal this side of Watford, my brother Paul, is finally caged. I’m not sure if I should congratulate his new bride or console her, so I will simply say Linda, good luck! The “for better or worse” part of your marriage starts now.
